Today I wanted to share with you a fall 2022 update on New Developments in Thornbury, Ontario. The Blue Mountains offers the perfect four-season lifestyle, there is something for everyone – year round! To keep up with demand for 4 season living we had an increase in new developments over the past few years. The developments we will discuss today are: The Baysides, Towns of Thornbury and Cidery Towns. So let’s dig into the new developments in Thornbury fall update!
Buying A New Construction Home in Thornbury – Notes:
Before we dig into the new construction opportunities currently available on the market, I wanted to mention my other recent blogs that provide more insights on what is currently affecting new construction building timelines. In my last blog we discussed Unavoidable New Build Delays. Before that, I shared another great blog on Tarion warranty: Statement of Critical Dates (crucial knowledge if you are a new builds purchaser and outlines what dates you should be writing in your calendar). Under Construction: The Baysides
In July 2022 we gave a blog update on 2 Thornbury developments: The Baysides and Towns of Thornbury. To further expand on the Baysides, it is a luxury townhome development of only 6 waterfront units. This development is being thoughtfully built by Manorwood Homes construction. Construction started this summer (2022), and has been a joy to watch as it progresses. Perfectly located in Thornbury, on Mill Street and Bay Street, these 3 storey townhomes have fabulous views, simply step outside and you are at the Thornbury Harbour, Georgian Bay, and the Beaver River, a couple more steps and you are on the Georgian Trail – talk about perfect! You are a minutes walk to the Thornbury downtown core, and in the heart of the action for the Thornbury Farmers Market, Bayside park events and more! Sounds like a dream come true? Under Construction: Towns of Thornbury
I will do a quick touch on the Towns of Thornbury Development for fall 2022. Towns of Thornbury development is constructed by the Janik Group, it is 23, 3 storey units, featuring contemporary designs. This development is currently sold out, but we have one unit available on assignment, Unit #6 – see it here. Towns of Thornbury units are in the construction phase. We can see the outside framing are nearing completion. Next will be the interior features and finishes getting worked on now.
Coming soon to Thornbury: Cidery Towns
The Cidery Towns are launching soon, and construction has not yet begun. The Cidery Towns is a collection of Townhomes that is also brought to you by Manorwood Homes construction. The Cidery Towns will be centrally located in The Blue Mountains on Elgin Street North & Huron Street East. If you have explored the area before, you will know that it will be located right by the Thornbury Cider & Brew House…hence the name Cidery Towns! I love this location, it is walkable to the Georgian trail, other local trails, minutes walk to the beach and crystal blue waters of the Georgian Bay.
